FAQS
You can apply to the high school here.
After you submit your application, you will receive an email with instructions on how to fill out the enrollment packet.
You will need your child’s birth certificate and up-to-date immunization records. Families of pre-kindergarten students must provide records from the most recent well-child visit. They can be scanned or photographed and uploaded.
The enrollment fee is $150.
You should have checkmarks next to every section of the enrollment packet. Be sure to review the packet and pay the $150 enrollment fee. Your child is not enrolled until that step is completed.
We will notify you as soon as a spot opens for your child.
ENROLLMENT POLICIES
& Admission Criteria
Saint Joseph High School has adopted policies that clearly define how enrollment decisions are made to ensure a fair and transparent process.
If a student’s application is submitted by the deadline and the admissions criteria are met, the student will be considered for enrollment. Placement decisions will be based on the maximum class sizes established by the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston, following these priority categories:
- Currently enrolled students in good standing.
- Siblings of students currently enrolled.
- Students in good standing at another school within the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston.
- Catholic children who are siblings or children of alumni of Saint Joseph School.
- Children of registered, contributing, and active parishioners at the School Parish (or one of the participating parishes if the school serves multiple parishes).*
- Children of registered, contributing, and active members at other Catholic parishes in the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston.*
- Non-Catholic students (admissions will be granted or waitlisted in the order that applications are received).
*Families seeking priority based on parish membership must submit a form signed by their pastor along with the application.
Wait List Info
If a student is not selected for admission due to class size limits, they will be placed on a wait list and given priority for future openings based on the categories above. The wait list is valid only for the current academic year, beginning after the enrollment process ends and expiring at the conclusion of the school year.
We understand that choosing the right school for your child is an important decision. At Saint Joseph High School, we are here to support you every step of the way.
We encourage families to reach out with any questions regarding tuition, financial aid, or the enrollment process. Together, we can make a quality Catholic education an affordable and achievable goal for your family.
