A LEGACY RENEWED
TRADITION & Innovation
Saint Joseph School in Martinsburg, West Virginia, has a rich history of serving the community’s educational needs. However, the high school division was closed in 1971 due to a combination of factors, including the lack of religious staff and the rising costs of education.
Despite these challenges, the spirit of Catholic education has remained vibrant within our institution, and now, the confluence of a growing population, increasing demand for moral and ethical education, and the availability of financial support through the Hope Scholarship has created the perfect environment for renewing our high school legacy.
The decision to reopen Saint Joseph High School is driven by the community’s need for an educational alternative that not only meets but exceeds academic and moral expectations.
Our parents, both Catholic and non-Catholic, have long expressed a desire for a safe, disciplined, and faith-centered educational environment. With public schools facing increasing challenges, the reopening of Saint Joseph High School offers a beacon of hope for families seeking a comprehensive education that nurtures both the mind and the soul.
