Serafina’s family moved to the Eastern Panhandle of WV from DC and chose SJS for it’s strong Catholic tradition and Christ-centered education.

One of my favorite experiences was having a prayer partner, which allowed me to connect with an older or younger student. This relationship, especially during church services and holiday celebrations, provided me with a strong role model and a chance to give back to the younger generation.

Our vibrant school has a rigorous focus on moral standards and curriculum, ensuring every student has the opportunity to thrive.
The values and respect for others that are rooted in every day student life at SJS molded me into who I am today. That’s a notable difference between my public school and private school experiences and what makes me proud to be an alumni.
Personally – I struggled with reading difficulties, but once it was identified, I worked with a reading specialist, and that made all the difference. Plus, the support and structure I received every year helped shape me into the person I am today.
Regardless of if you’re a practicing Catholic or not, I would recommend SJS. My class had lots of students and families that were not Catholic, and they all found profound value in what SJS had to offer!
